Belgaum district is the largest district in the state and many farmers are practicing organic farming. As per Karnataka State Government initiative, our District Organic Farmers Association Federation was established in 2015 by bringing together about 2,790 farmers and forming 35 organic farmers associations from all the talukas of Belagavi district. In 2015-16, we constructed organic clusters and purchased machines starting jaggery plant, turmeric processing, pulses processing, and primary cleaning units which have been given to organic farmers associations across the district. We have the brand name "BELAGAVI ORGANICS", under which we sell organic products like jaggery, different varieties of rice, pulses, cereals, turmeric, oilseeds and other organic products grown by our farmers, helping them get good prices for their produce. We also provide training in making various by-products.

Our federation holds organic certifications including NPOP, NP and PGS. We currently have markets in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Punjab and Uttarakhand, and also export turmeric and jaggery products to other countries.

Belgaum District Regional Organic Farmers Associations' Federation is Promoted by Govt. of Karnataka, Agriculture and has associated with 35 Organic Farmers Associations having 2,793 certified farmers across Belgaum District who are exclusively engaged in organic cultivation of food grains, pulses, millets, oil, jaggery in different forms and vegetables. All are certified agriculture products. The value addition to procured products, and grading, cleaning and packing, is done at Federation premises. The Federation has an objective to cater to the needs of every common man by delivering chemical-free food grains at an affordable price. Bulk requirement will be delivered to your home.
